SUNRISE TOWERS is located in downtown Laconia, New Hampshire, surrounded by lakes Winnisquam, Opechee and Winnipesaukee. The building is a seven story complex with 98 apartments; studio, one bedroom and two bedrooms. Heat, hot water, and electricity are included in the rent. Each apartment has a balcony located off the living room offering views of lakes, rivers, mountains, restored mill buildings along the river, and city gardens filled with tulips. Banks, churches, restaurants, drug store, supermarket and the local library are all within walking distance of Sunrise Towers. The Supportive Services Department makes services available for residents that would benefit from assistance with meals, housekeeping, laundry, personal care, and nursing services. The Social Service Education Coordinator keeps residents abreast of programs and special events planned for the facility. The Golden Age Organization does programs and special projects for, and with, residents of Sunrise Towers.

Congregate Housing Services Program (CHSP) - This program provides various supports for elderly and persons with disabilities who need different levels of assistance with activities of daily living and are approved for the Program by the Professional Assessment Committee. Residents on the Program are eligible to receive two meals daily in a congregate setting, weekly housekeeping and laundry services, personal care assistance, transportation to local medical appointments, and an emergency response system should this be needed.
Choices for Independent Living (Home and Community Based Care) - HC/BC is a program for Medicaid eligible residents who need different levels of assistance with activities of daily living and are approved for the Program by the State of NH Medicaid Nurse. Residents on the HC/BC Program are eligible to receive two meals daily, housekeeping and laundry services, personal care assistance, nursing visits for monitoring vitals and medication set-up, transportation to local medical appointments, and an emergency response system should this be needed.
ServicesLaconia Housing Authority’s (LHA) supportive service staff strives to maintain residents housing stability and to promote independence, dignity and a high quality of life. Our goal is to assist all residents identify and access services and resources within our organization, our local community, and the State of New Hampshire.
The Supportive Service Department employs Resident Service Coordinators (RSC’s) to help all residents identify and access needed services. The RSC’s are knowledgeable about state and local programs, and constantly striving to inform and educate residents about resources that may be available.
